The system developed by Mapaprop for providing real estate websites has undergone constant evolution over 14 years.

Developing efficient systems is part of our work. Regarding Real Estate Websites, Mapaprop has a significant history.

Mapaprop was born as SaaS software to design and self-manage such websites. Although it quickly started offering more features for clients to perform additional tasks with the properties entered in their accounts, the Website functionality was always central. To date, we have developed 5 different systems:

• Light, Standard, Flex, Flex Mobile, Flex Mobile v2, and now Express Flex Systems.

The evolution can be measured in two different aspects:

Servers, Systems, and Functions

Regarding servers, the system has gone through various providers until reaching maximum efficiency with AWS in 2015. Currently, the systems continue to be supported there, providing agile methods for development, improvements, and deployments, as well as unbeatable uptime.

Regarding the system and functions, we migrated from our initial method based on a server dependent on Mapaprop. First, we adopted a hybrid server + API Client system, to finally have a 100% API Client method. Supported by the development and evolution of Mapaprop API, today all functions are based on API, allowing us to have dedicated servers totally independent of other systems.

Functions have also accumulated, integrating an increasingly extensive list. Currently, we are preparing the Blog system that will be integrated into our Express Flex System. The complete list of functionalities is available in this section of our Website Help.

Design Systems

Finally, regarding design, we follow the principle of "design first and customer participation." Although we offer simple options for activating websites, we aim to provide, at a very low cost, the possibility of having a custom design where our clients can express their opinions, observe the design evolution, and approve it for production.

As web developers, we are aware of the changes that technology imposes day by day. We embrace changes as an integral part of our work, and this has determined the evolution of the design system. Initially, we were based on templates that limited the ability to make rapid changes to structures. Over time, we transitioned from that approach to a custom and personalized design system.

This evolution has led us to the new Express Flex system, which does not depend on any design library. The result is that we now have the option to develop a website with practically any library without causing conflicts with the base system, whether it's Tailwind, Bootstrap, Materialize, among others.

It's so open that even any web developer can design directly using our component-based manual.
